I would love to play, but dont really know of any courts in the area since I am new to the area.

I would like to play in the evenings during the week (after 6:30pm). I am flexible on the location. Let me know if you find any courts.

hi geoff! there are some good courts at Franklin Park. I work at 3:30 on tu/thur so I would be available to play noonish or one, just have to be leaving my place my 2:45.

Hi Geoff,

There are three more courts near English High. They are located behind the football/soccer field and basketball courts. To access them, turn into Union Ave from Green St and the courts will be on your right below street level.

JP Courts:

Ok, last few weekends, when I had a little time, I found out a couple of places we could play:

1) Near JP Centre on Centre Street. This is easy to spot if you know JP Licks and other restaurants in this area. This court is right next to the Library I believe right on Centre Street.

2) Amory Tennis Courts - www.town.brookline.ma.us

3) Waldenstein Tennis Courts - www.town.brookline.ma.us

Let me know if there's any interest in playing after work around 6pm on weekdays or around 10 AM on Saturday/Sunday. Please give me 2-3 days notice since I don't check this website that often.

Me - I'm interested in playing those times.....I live in JP. No notice but open this Saturday (10th) at 10:00 if you are interested; Mon and Thurs great for me.

There are some near the English High fields right by Green Street. Walk from Green ST T towards Washington. Turn Right onto Brookside Ave (looks like a gravel street). Walk about 100 yds behind the buildings and to your left will be 3 courts. They look pretty well-kept. Address is roughly 184 Brookside Ave.

Hey -
On courts - the ones you mention are the ones I usually go to in JP - there are others in Brookline too if you want to drive, and a couple over in Franklin park across from the Shattuck Hospital.

I was glad to read you might be interested in playing.....I'm around afternoons and was looking for a chum to hit a few with. Let me know and maybe we can set up a time to play.....

Alenandra and Karen -
Thanks for the recent posts! I just wanted to let you know that the original posts were made in May of 2008 (and not this year). I'm sure the Tennis group is still interested in getting together though and hopefully enjoy the recent Spring weather. For me, the mid-day times (between 10 and 2pm) are usually best.

Oh.. that's ok. I'm still up for a midday game around JP - and I bet that most courts are free then too! Want to suggest a specific day/time? I'm in school and self-employed - so very flex schedule here....

Hi all,
I'm interested in playing weekends, 10am or later, or weekday evenings 6 or 7pm. The courts I've used are the ones along the orange line corridor, specifically the two near Ruggles T stop and the one down near Green St. The one across from the Co-op is convenient though not as great. Though I'm not a strong player, I play purely for fun and have just about no competitive leanings nor strong arm muscle!
Sometimes there's a wait by the Ruggles ones, but they're courts with a great backdrop view of Boston.
